GSA Information Consultants has extensive experience in information and communication technology, specialising in community and non-profit organisations. It aims to assist in bridging the digital divide by providing a range of services to support the equitable use of information and communication technology in the community. GSA's recent consultancies include:
GSA's principal, Gunela Astbrink, has been active in disability issues for the past 15 years and comes from a library and information management background. She has worked at the Disability Information and Resource Centrein South Australia, the Telematics and Disability Centre of Telia (Swedish Telecom) and the European Union-funded project, COST 219 (Telecommunications: Access for Disabled and Elderly People). Gunela's work has taken her to many parts of Australia, Europe, North and South America and Asia. Her publication list reflects her broad interests and the growing importance of the Internet in her work. Gunela Astbrink is a Director on the Board of the Internet Society of Australia and a member of the Advisory Board of the International Center for Disability Resources on the Internet. GSA has developed strategic alliances with a wide range of experts in complementary fields (especially in usability studies) and is the official Australian member of COST 219 bis.
